Dr. Lihu Yang is currently the head of Discovery Chemistry US (with the focus on peptide therapeutics) of UCB in Cambridge USA. He joined UCB in 2017 as head of External Innovations in Asia. Before that, Lihu spent more than twenty-six years at Merck & Co. (known as MSD outside of the US) as a medicinal chemist working in the areas of immunology, endocrine and infectious diseases (TB). Dr. Yang received his PhD from Rice University (Houston, TX, USA) and a BS from Nankai University (Tianjin, China)
