David Entwistle is the Head of Process Chemistry at Codexis, leading the company’s research efforts in sustainable chemistry programs for both small molecule therapeutics manufacturing and enzymatic oligonucleotide synthesis. Prior to joining Codexis in 2012, he was a synthetic organic chemist for Pfizer Process Chemistry in the UK for over a decade, working on many early- to mid-clinical phase APIs. David obtained his Ph.D. from Imperial College London in 1994 under Prof. Steve Ley FRS. His postdoctoral positions with Prof. Tomas Hudlicky and Prof. Gerry Pattenden FRS focused on synthetic organic methodologies and total synthesis.
