Elin Forsberg joined AstraZeneca in 2022 as a Senior Scientist in the Cell Therapy Bioprocessing Team, within the Cell Therapy Department. Her work is focused on the development and delivery of T-cell based therapies for treating autoimmune indications.

Elin is a molecular biologist with a background within pre-clinical and translational cancer research. She received a PhD in Medicine in 2020 from the University of Gothenburg, translating pre-clinical findings to enable future clinical benefit for patients with melanoma.

During her doctoral studies and subsequent post-doctoral research, her work spanned from initial research findings in vitro and in vivo, to the development of a manufacturing protocol for the expansion of T cells in a bioreactor in a class B clean room facility at Sahlgrenska University hospital.
