Profile

Gearóid Duane is a chemical engineer who completed his PhD in 2013 focussed on mathematical modelling of microbial fermentation for the production of polyhydroxyalkanoates. Since then he has been working in the biopharma industry taking roles of increasing responsibility over the years. He is currently Senior Principal Scientist within the Manufacturing Science & Technology Upstream team in Bristol Myers Squibb Cruiserath Biologics. Gearóid has broad technical experience across monoclonal antibody and fusion protein processes, including process development, PAT implementation, data analytics, new product introduction/filing, commercial support and process scale up/down.
