Andreas WillSenior Associate in Gene Therapy at RocheSpeaker
Profile
Andreas graduated from the Technical University of Munich in 2021, where he earned his M.Sc. degree in Industrial Biotechnology. His final thesis focussed on the topic “Biomolecule separation by potential-controlled chromatography”.
He joined Roche's early research department in 2019 and contributed to a structure-based modeling to predict antibody binding on ion exchange resins. After completing his studies, Andreas began working as a senior scientific associate in Roche's newly formed department of Gene Therapy Technical Development. Over the past two years, he has been developing a scalable, high yielding AAV vector purification platform. His main area of expertise lies in developing tools and strategies for using High Throughput and Mechanistic Modeling for the adaptation and optimization IEX platform to suit a portfolio of capsid serotypes.
