Dr. Ethan Lovdal Butler is a Senior Scientist in Purification Process Development at Sanofi’s Genomic Medicines Unit. He received his MSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, focusing on structure-function relationship of separation materials. He has over a decade’s experience in researching and developing purification processes. Currently, he is focused on leveraging existing purification technologies for viral vector manufacturing, serving as a subject matter expert on clarification, viral clearance, and filtration.
