Edo Kapetanovic, MD PhD is a co-founder and CEO of Encelta. He earned his medical degree from the University of Rijeka, Croatia. He commenced his scientific journey under the mentorship of Prof. Stephanie Helene at Yale University focusing on splicing factor mutations associated with Myelodysplasia (MDS). He proceeded with developing next- generation cell immunotherapies and has completed his PhD in immunoengineering at ETH Zürich under the mentorship of Prof. Sai Reddy. His novel work on universal T-cell technology was selected as the top five innovations for the 2023 ETH Spark Award.
