Dr Alexander Douglas is an academic physician based at the Jenner Institute, University of Oxford. He is leading development of a new simian adenovirus-vectored vaccine against rabies. He is also a co-investigator in the Oxford / University College London co-ordinated Future Vaccine Manufacturing Research Hub. He will present results from Oxford's research within the Hub with a particular focus upon GMP manufacture of simian adenoviruses for early-phase clinical trials. He will discuss a rapid and robust process applicable to manufacture of adenoviruses of diverse serotypes and with diverse transgenes, using entirely single-use product-contact materials.
