Takanori Yokota, MD, PhD graduated from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 1990.
He studied as a research fellow in Dale E Bredesen's lab at Burham Institute (CA, USA) in 1998-1999 and at Buck Center for Aging Research (CA, USA) in 1999-2000.
He is an inventor and founder of RENA Therapeutics for DNA/RNA heteroduplex oligonucleotides. In 2019, he is a president of Nucleic Acides Therapeutics Society of Japan (NATS-J) and board of director of Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (OTS).
