Paul Bouten is Physiotherapist -‘niet praktiserend’- (not practicing) and holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master of Science (MScBA) in Business Administration from the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
He is registered Board-Certified Medical Affairs Specialist.(BCMAS)

Because you never need to stop with learning - He has completed several training programs - both Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Regulatory Affairs Certification Program, Drug Safety, Pharmacovigilance, PK/PD, Personalized, Precision Medicine, Oncology and CAR-T and is a certified Green Belt in Lean (CGBL) and Black (BBL).
Beside this and believes development should “looking outside the box” he conducted a training at the MIT and earned a certificate on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He worked 7 years in HealthCare and more than 26 years in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, CRO and Medical Devices.

During his work in the R&D industry he worked in Clinical Research/Clinical Operations, Clinical Project Management, Regulatory Affairs and Outsourcing & Contracts Management in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
In the outsourcing arena he worked as CRO-Manager at Organon, European Head Outsourcing & Contracts at UCB and Manager International Vendor Management/Outsourcing & Contracts at Boston Scientific (BSC) as well supported smaller companies with their outsourcing.

Other companies he worked for in different roles such as CRA, CTL, CPM, MSL, Regulatory Manager, Head of Clinical Operations and Head MSLs are Covance, HGSI and Quintiles.

Currently he supports a company as consultant clinical outsourcing for a biotech company in Belgium and acting in a supporting role as DPO for the Netherlands.
