Thomas Eichert is professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Erfurt, Germany. He has a degree in Geoecology from University of Bayreuth, Germany and received his PhD at the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
Thomas is author of numerous peer-reviewed papers on various aspects of plant nutrition and physiology. He is a leading expert in foliar nutrition, and has made major contributions to the understanding of the principles of foliar nutrient uptake and environmental factors controlling this process.
Apart from foliar nutrition, Thomas’s research focuses on plant ecophysiology, nutrient mobility in plants, and plant availability of nutrients in soils and fertilizers. He contributed to the Third Edition of Marschner’s Mineral Nutrition of Higher Plants textbook.
