Jeff Myers has 30 years of experience in the health care policy space.
He started his career in the US House of Representatives in the 1990s, where he served as staff for three Members of Congress. During that time he worked on the Leader’s Task Force considering the Health Security Act, as well as authoring several different health related bills and amendments. While working for Congressman Upton the Export Reform and Enhancement Act was passed and signed into law which changed the way in which life sciences companies can manufacture and sell products overseas.
Since leaving Capitol Hill, Jeff worked for nearly a decade for four different life sciences companies as a lobbyist and policy expert. During that time he worked on several challenging drug and device issues in the opioid, MS, cancer and neuroscience space.
After leaving the pharmaceutical space, Jeff worked for the American Health Care Association as their Senior VP for Government Relations and Policy. In this role he led efforts to rationalize payments to skilled nursing facilities and ensure access to institutional care.
From 2013-2018 Jeff served for five years as the CEO of the Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPA) representing the largest full-risk plans in the Medicaid space. In that role, he worked to ensure that plans had a “seat at the table” during the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and the regulatory reforms that accompanied the bill.
Most recently he worked for Caresource, one of the largest Medicaid managed care companies in the nation, as the Executive Vice President for Strategy and External Relations.
