Izhar GiladHead of Commercial & Business Development at Netafim, Israel
Izhar Gilad, Netafim Head of Commercial & Business Development, Digital Farming, was born and raised on a kibbutz in northern Israel, and worked in agriculture throughout his childhood. Following his army service in a reconnaissance unit, Izhar studied industrial engineering and management at Tel Aviv University. After graduating, Izhar worked for 10 years in Israel’s high-tech sector, holding a variety of positions in project and account management, business development and strategy. In 2015, he decided to return to his roots and joined Netafim to help drive the digital farming revolution.
Izhar served as Netafim’s Head of Product Management, Digital Farming from December 2015 until December 2017. During that time, he helped shape and develop Netafim NetBeat, the company’s next-generation digital farming platform and world’s first irrigation system with a “brain.” Izhar is currently heading all commercial, go-to-market and business development activities in Netafim’s Digital Farming Unit. In this position, Izhar is responsible for product marketing, sales tools, new market channel development, new business models, and new potential growth engines.
