Rich Palizzolo is Global Digital Strategy Lead at bluebird bio, the leading gene therapy company committed to transformative treatments for severe genetic diseases and oncology. Rich’s role is to infuse digital across the company and develop breakthrough, integrated experiences for bluebird’s patients, their families, and their care teams.
Before joining bluebird bio, Rich led Integrated Customer Engagement at Intarcia Therapeutics- an innovative biotech start-up- where his role was to unite marketing content, customer insight, and technology to drive meaningful experiences for Intarcia’s customers across channels.
Prior to Intarcia, Rich was Vice President, General Manager at Epsilon where he led a portfolio of clients focused in the healthcare space including Novo Nordisk, Novartis, AstraZeneca, and Biogen. Rich has also held roles in digital marketing and customer experience at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Merkle and Cegedim.
He specializes in integrated, multi-channel marketing programs and is focused on optimizing customer experience strategies and execution to drive business impact.
