In his current role as Content Strategist at Merck, Hans Riis focuses on building innovative content sourcing and storytelling capabilities that matches the customer’s context.
Originally from Denmark, Hans arrived in New York in 94 to pursue an education and career in visual and verbal communications. The last 12+ years, Hans has focused solely on pharmaceuticals because he identified a need for new approaches to deliver more effective communications in a highly regulated industry. Besides 6+ years at Merck, Hans has enjoyed positions in agencies such as InterbrandHealth and most recently McCann Health, where he served as VP, Strategic Planning Director.
Hans holds a Masters in Design Management from Pratt Institute, NYC. He lives in Montville, NJ with his wife, two sons, and way too much fishing gear.
