ePharma 2017, held March 6-8, 2017 in New York City, brought together thought leaders, industry trailblazers, and technology partners within the pharma digital transformation and marketing landscape for The Art and Science of Innovative Digital Strategy.
Some of the topics covered included how pharma marketers can leverage digital technology and be more innovative to better serve consumers while connecting with stakeholders in the pharma and healthcare ecosystem.

Jay Baer, Convince & Convert
We sat down with New York Times best-selling author Jay Baer, the founder of Convince & Convert, to discuss how to better serve consumers by leveraging digital media to be present and readily available to address their needs and concerns. Mr. Baer also presented the keynote "Hug Your Haters: How to Embrace Complaints and Keep Your Customers" at the event, based on his New York Times best selling book of the same name.
Ritesh Patel, Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide
Ritesh Patel, the Chief Digital Officer at Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide, spoke with us to discuss how the digital landscape has and will continue to change how we deliver care. He presented on "IoT and Connected Health and the Disruption of the Patient/Doctor/Pharma Relationship" at the event.
Mohammed Ali, Janssen
During the event, Mohammed Ali, the Director of R&D Operations and Innovations at Janssen, shared his thoughts on why digital innovation has lagged in pharma; specific to clinical trials. He highlights stakeholder buying, changing investors' mindset and the difficulty in putting together business models from data captured from every day trials . Mr. Ali also participated in the panel discussion "Digital Innovation in Drug Development: The Clinical Trial Perspective."
John Vieira, Daiichi Sankyo
We spoke with John Vieira, Executive Director, Global Brand Edoxaban, at Daiichi Sankyo, who joined our panel discussion on Where Are You on the Millennial-Marketing Maturity Curve?, who shared his thoughts on how marketers are better able to connect with millennial patients and stakeholders and what needs to be done, and continue to be done, to bridge the gap in garnering brand trust and loyalty.
Marc Iskowitz, MM&M
We also sat down with Marc Iskowitz, the Editor-in-Chief at MM&M, to share his own thoughts on millennial marketing and how pharma can nurture these relationships. In a survey conducted by MM&M, Iskowitz reveals how brands and manufactureres plan on using millennial patients and influencers in product development; something he says is the future of marketing.
