About the Award

In memory of Christine Pierre, founder and president of the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) and winner of the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award, the award was renamed to the Christine Pierre Clinical Trials Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Christine Pierre Clinical Trials Lifetime Achievement Award recognises leading industry pioneers who have achieved great things in their career and revolutionised the field of clinical trials. 

Open to all clinical development industry leaders and practitioners, the award rewards those who have had a major impact on the world of clinical trials over their career; those who have influenced the direction the industry is moving in and left a legacy.

Nominations deadline: 10 September 2023, 12pm BST
Nominations are now closed.

Voting deadline: 24 October 2023, 11pm BST
Once the shortlist is announced, voting commences. We will impartially encourage our online community to vote; each finalist is also encouraged to reach out to their colleagues and contacts. Anyone in the online clinical trials community can vote, but only once each. The winner will be decided by the highest number of votes.

Winner announced: 29 November 2023
The winner will be announced during the afternoon coffee break in the exhibition hall at this year's Clinical Trials Europe in Barcelona.

This year's shortlist of nominees are:

  • Victoria DiBiaso, Sanofi
    Victoria is a trailblazer in clinical development, instrumental in advancing patient-centricity in the industry, notably strengthening Sanofi's dedication to patient communities and poised to elevate patient engagement even further.

  • Jeffrey Rosen, AMR
    With a career spanning more than four decades in the industry, Jeffrey has been fortunate to contribute to over 800 clinical trials, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to advancing healthcare. Jeffrey's involvement in trials has led to the development of numerous medications and vaccines widely used today.

  • Christina Brennan, Northwell Health
    Christina spearheaded the fastest COVID-19 vaccine trial in world history, ensuring swift access to vaccinations for countless individuals and ultimately saving numerous lives.

  • Darcy Forman, Science 37
    Darcy is a trailblazer in global remote clinical trials, focusing on enhancing patient access and experience. Her innovative approach has revolutionized trial operations, leading initiatives like in-home spirometry and extended infusions.

  • Jamie Wingate, F. Hoffmann-La Roche
    Jamie has been instrumental in driving forward innovative approaches to site and investigator engagement and operationalization in the field of complex oncology trials for many years.
