David Jen, PhD Chemical Engineer, boasts 25 years of expertise in biopharmaceutical technical operations, encompassing process development and manufacturing. Spending his early career at JNJ, he honed his skills in Mab technology development/manufacturing, continuous bioprocessing, and CMC leadership, contributing to multiple licensed biologic programs. In 2016, Dr. Jen spearheaded the establishment of a new tech operation site for Altor on the West Coast, serving as VP and overseeing Process Science, pilot/commercial GMP facility build-up, and supply chain/engineering. His diverse experience extends to AAV, Lentivirus, Adenovirus and VLP production using HEK293 cell culture. Currently, Dr. Jen applies his knowledge as a principal consultant at BioBlue CMC, LLC, guiding clients in technical operations, biomanufacturing strategy, and innovation for both biologics and CGT.
