Tony Thomas is a Field Specialist Manager at Purolite where he supports customers across all facets of chromatography purification leveraging advanced Jetted technology within the Purolite product portfolio to achieve customer success. In his previous role, Tony was a Chromatography Product Sales Specialist at GE Healthcare Life Science (Cytiva). During his tenure, Tony was responsible for supporting a wide variety of customers with purification related challenges across all scales of process development and manufacturing. He has worked across Canada, Central/Southeast USA, and Puerto Rico. Prior to Cytiva, Tony worked at iBio where he led a manufacturing team and was responsible for technology transfer of filtration and chromatography unit operations. As part of his graduate research at Swansea University, Tony developed new methods for material surface characterization published in the industry leading Journal of Membrane Science. He also established a downstream purification protocol for an Fc-fusion biotherapeutic for treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Tony graduated from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi with a degree in Biomedical Science and Chemistry and Texas A&M University with his Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Swansea University in Wales, UK.
