Hired as a Process Control Engineer by NRC in July 1994 in the lab of Dr. Amine Kamen. Worked at developing and implementing oxygen control strategies and implementing novel sensor tools for cell culture monitoring such as the Aber capacitance sensor to support high insect cell density cultures (Sf-9) for the expression of recombinant proteins using the baculovirus expression system in bioreactors ranging from 3L to 150L scales. Over the last 15 years at the NRC employment, occupied Team leading position in cell culture technical support from 2002 to 2012, mainly devoted to supporting the development and scale-up of processes using NRC’s proprietary HEK293-SF platform for the production of various viral vectors.  Also involved during that period in Leading and Managing of an industrial project for the development, scale-up and transfer of an oncolytic virus manufacturing process, for which the project team was awarded NRC’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 2009. Since 2012, briefly occupied the Team leader position of the Scale-Up Facilities in Montreal before accepting his current Team Leader position of Process Intensification (early 2013).  The team’s main activity is to support internal and external projects with the development of high monoclonal antibody titer processes using NRC’s CHO cumate-inducible expression platform.
