Ming Lei obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Kansas University. She has 9-years of biopharmaceutical industrial experience with a broad expertise ranging from analytical method development, protein characterization to product life-cycle management and regulatory filing. She is considered an innovative technical leader in drug development CMC teams.
She is a well-regarded leader in the field of protein stability, especially light-induced reaction in protein, and protein higher-order structure-related analytical technologies. She pioneered single molecule electron spectroscopy in solving real-life problems in therapeutic protein development. She has led many collaborative works in these fields with peer-reviewed publications. Her deep interests in protein-related research combined with extensive experience in protein drug development enables her to think strategically with innovative approaches.
Outside of work, she is a skilled painter, musician and photographer. She uses her chemistry knowledge creatively in the kitchen to satisfy her growing family.
