Marie Muniz is the is the lead on market shaping and brand development activities for lumasiran at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. She joined Alnylam in 2016 and contributed to the successful global launch of ONPATTRO by developing the first company-approved strategic brand plan, leading the development of the global disease awareness and brand campaigns, and successfully onboarding new regional affiliates. In addition to her work in the commercial organization, Marie co-founded “Diversity & Inclusion @ Alnylam”, setting the vision and mission for this initiative. Marie spearheaded the launch of internal programs such as Unconscious Bias Training, the D&I Speaker Series, and internship in partnership with Project Onramp. In addition to her Alnylam activities, Marie is a member of the first KSA DEI Learning Community, and sits on the steering committee for Latinos in Bio.
Marie Muniz has 15 years of experience in the rare disease space (at companies such as Genzyme, Aegerion, and Alnylam), within both Global and US organizations, and has launched 7 products throughout her career. Marie received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and has completed graduate-level coursework at Harvard University.
