Eileen Galvin Karr is the Apheresis Site Manager at Key Biologics, LLC, Lowell, MA, overseeing critical collections of research and clinical grade human cells and blood products. She was instrumental in establishing a satellite collection site in Lowell, MA. Eileen was formerly the Apheresis Medicine Supervisor at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA and at UMass Memorial Medical Center where she was responsible for oversight of blood component and cellular collections as well as therapeutic procedures. Eileen has served on the American Society for Apheresis (ASFA) Board of Directors and as past president, 2016. She earned a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, her certification as a Hemapheresis Practitioner (HP) and her Qualification in Apheresis (QIA) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
