Cynthia Mosunmola Umoru is an Agribusiness Entrepreneur who started her journey straight out of college with Honeysuckles PTL Ventures; marketing freshly processed chickens, snails, vegetables and catfish to quick service restaurants and homes in Nigeria. She proudly calls herself a 'Farmer'.Mosunmola is the Founder of Harvesters Farms Limited, a company currently investing in the development of over a 7,000 Acre agribusiness operation in South West, Nigeria; with interests in integrated farming, primary processing and distribution of a wide range of produce. In 2009, Mosun started an Initiative to help bridge the gaps identified in the Nigerian Agricultural space to pursue significant youth involvement in the sector realizing that sustainable economic growth rests on a viable MSME development. The project engages schools, governments,and conglomerates through a range of highly-impactful partnerships and interventions which includes establishing training programs to teach agribusiness to young people across Africa. She launched her retail business Farmshoppe™ in 2011,a retail brand for fresh farm produce. Mosun obtained her foundational Degree in Zoology from the Lagos State University(L.A.S.U), Ojo. She has a Certificate in Enterprise Management from the Pan Atlantic University’s Enterprise Development Center. She is an Alumnus of the U.S.A State Department’s International Visitors Leadership Programme. She is an Alumnus of the SAID Business School of the Oxford University. She has a certificate for Transformative Leadership, Resilience and Sustainability from the Stanford University. She is an Ashoka Fellow and a Goldman Sachs 10,000 women Scholar. Pretty Miss Farmer as she is fondly called has served as an ambassador, advocate and consultant to the African Union Commission(Youth Division). Mosunmola serves on the Boards of several Growing Businesses in Nigeria. Her advocacy initiatives for the Agricultural sector have earned several awards and consultancy roles in Africa including The African Union (Youth Division).Mosunmola is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (Class of 2015). Mosunmola currently serves as the Special Technical Adviser (Youth & Gender) to Nigeria's Honorable Minister Of Agriculture Chief Dr. Audu Ogbeh.
