Member - House Of Representatives at Committee On Agriculture Federal Republic of Nigeria
Munir Babba Danagundi born in 1964 is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Kumbotso Federal Constituency of Kano state under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC). He attended Government College Birnin Kudu and sat for the General Certificate Examination (G.C.E) in the year 1979. He also attended Science Secondary School Dawakin Kudu before gaining admission into Kaduna Polytechnic where he obtained HND in Irrigation Engineering.
He was elected chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State from 1999 to 2002 under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 1999 to 2002 and was re-elected in 2007 to 2011 under the same party. In 2011, he was elected Member of the Federal House of representatives representing the same constituency under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In 2015, he was re-elected under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC). He is currently the deputy chairman on labour and employment as well as the chairman of Rahama Integrated Farms Limited whereby he engaged in production of quality seeds, livestock development and irrigation development.
At the Federal House, he also served as deputy chairman on agriculture, banking and currency as well as National Security and public safety. As a law maker, he has sponsored many bills including Nigerian Agricultural Seed council bill, Nigerian Quarantine service bill and institute of Agriculturist bill. He also served as Senior Extension Advisor (SEA) in Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (KNARDA) from 1986 to 1989.
